In response to the devastating fire affecting thousands in Los Angeles County, Sandwiches From The Heart is working to provide critical support by delivering nonperishable food items to food distribution centers serving displaced families and first responders. We are reaching out to our community for donations of nonperishable food to help those in need during this crisis. Over 13 percent of our community is food insecure. Sandwiches from the Heart (a 501(c)3 nonprofit) seeks to address this through our volunteers and partner organizations. Each week, volunteers assemble sandwiches and deliver them to local collection points. From there, sandwiches are delivered to partner organizations including food banks, shelters and other organizations feeding food insecure individuals and families. Our mission, vis-a-vis, volunteers is to make volunteering accessible to individuals of all ages, families, organizations, and the corporate world. Follow us on Instagram @sandwichesfromtheheart. As we reflect on this season of thanks, we are incredibly grateful for the amazing community of volunteers, partners, and supporters who have helped us make a difference this year. Your dedication and kindness have allowed us to serve over 11,000 sandwiches to date to those in need, and together, we've made a meaningful impact in the fight against food insecurity in Orange County. Each sandwich represents more than just a meal—it’s a symbol of compassion, solidarity, and the power of community coming together to support one another. ????
