?October is ESOP Month!? ESOP Month was started in the 1980s as a way to spread awareness about ESOPs and a way for employee owners to celebrate being part of an ESOP. ESOP stands for Employee Stock Ownership Plan. At SSE, every team member has the chance to become an employee owner and participate in our ESOP. Being an employee owner gives all our team members a share in the company’s success—and the rewards that come with it. As a proud Employee-Owned company, SSE was happy to celebrate ESOP Month for the first time this year. We had treats each week to show appreciation to our employee owners, and deepened our ESOP knowledge throughout the month.
