We tip our hats off to Ron for his 16th work anniversary with Sandis!??? Our stellar Director of Engineering and leader of Sandis' Traffic Engineering Department began with us as a Design Engineer in 2008. Throughout his time here, he's truly enjoyed working on the unique types of projects we often get, each one with a new aspect that makes every day exciting and challenging. Ron enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. Three years ago, he began an annual tradition of paddling a 3-day, 47-mile trip down the Green River through a section called Labyrinth Canyon in Utah (pictured).???♂? He muses that if money or time weren't a factor, he would car camp across another country to experience the local culture and customs. We are grateful for Ron and his dedication and passion, for he inspires adventure in us all. Congratulations on 16 years! #sandis?#employeespotlight?#workanniversary

Thanks to American Public Works Association, American Society of Civil Engineers, SBTOA, and SBEC’s joint picnic in Campbell last week, we had the chance to mix and mingle with a fantastic group of our peers. Of course, we would not miss the opportunity to bring our travel keg and cheers with partners. ?? ? Sandis' Summer of Giving Back?? This summer, Sandis was dedicated to making a difference through our?Summer of Giving Back?initiative! Our amazing team volunteered nearly?150 hours?with local organizations, from The Marine Mammal Center to marathons and local food banks, working hard to support our community.??? In addition, we raised an incredible?$3,715?for our?Back to School Backpack?fundraiser, helping Bay Area K-12 students from low-income families get the school supplies they need to focus on their education.??? ??
