??? March is #BCorpMonth! ??? At Sandford, we believe in the power of business as a force for good. As specialists in PR and digital communications for design-led brands, we’re excited to celebrate the impact of accreditations such as @bcorpuk - a mark that goes beyond sustainability and into the realm of true accountability. The design community thrives on creativity, but it also has a responsibility to shape a better future. UK B Corps like Turnstyle Designs Ltd, Jennifer Manners Design, Lick and Benchmark, to name a few, are proving that aesthetics and ethics go hand in hand—prioritising responsible sourcing, circular economy principles, and fair business practices. This year’s theme, #GenB, is all about collective action. Whether you’re a business leader, designer, or conscious consumer, now is the time to champion brands that put people and the planet first. Let’s design a better tomorrow today. ???? Images: 1, 2: Turnstyle Designs Ltd? 3: Jennifer Manners Design? 4: Lick 5: Benchmark . . . #BCorp #GenB #DesignForGood #BetterBusiness

This weekend sees the start of London Fashion Week and all eyes look to what's gracing the catwalk this year. For us, it's an opportunity to look at more than just the clothes. Fashion and interior design are deeply intertwined, with runway trends influencing home décor through rich textures, bold colour palettes, and luxurious materials. The meticulous craftsmanship seen in haute couture is echoed in bespoke interiors, where hand-stitched fabrics and intricate detailing elevate spaces. Both industries are also embracing sustainability, integrating eco-friendly materials and innovative design solutions to redefine modern luxury. Just as a statement handbag completes an outfit, sculptural furniture and striking lighting serve as the ultimate focal points in interior spaces, making design a true extension of personal style. Today, we see fashion brands crossing over more into the design world with some notable brands present and making an impact at Milan Design Week, for example. Of course, there are the classics such as Hermès, Prada, Loewe, Louis Vuitton?and Gucci, all stalwarts of the week. But we also saw the likes of Liberty Home and Interiors in 2023 bring ‘FuturLiberty’ to Salone del Mobile.Milano?a stunning collection created in collaboration with legendary couturier and interior designer Federico Forquet. Bottega Veneta collaborated with the late design maestro Gaetano Pesce in 2023 and Fondation Le Corbusier in 2024 to emphasise their commitment to craftsmanship. Miu Miu?created the Miu Miu Literary Club and hosted “Alba De Céspedes: Creative Spaces, Creative Time”, a conversation on what it means for a woman to find her voice beyond her gendered roles. And Issey Miyake collaborated with Dutch collective We Make Carpets to create “Fold and Crease,” an installation featuring intricate designs crafted from 60,000 bamboo skewers, blurring the lines between textile art and interior design. These are just a few, of course, but we watch the catwalks with interest this week to see what influences may cross over into the interior design world in the year ahead!
