  • Congrats to the Leland High School Robotics team! FRC 604 – Quixilver has taken the FIRST Pinnacles Regional by storm, winning 1st place and securing a spot at the first World Championship in Houston, TX! The team, led by head mentor Helen Arrington, who was recently named SJUSD’s 2025 secondary Teacher of the Year, demonstrated exceptional innovation, teamwork, and engineering skills. Their custom-built robot and innovative control system helped them dominate the competition and score a high of 203 in the finals! Next stop: Contra Costa Regional, then onto the World Championship! ???

  • Over 280 student musicians from Simonds Elementary and Castillero Middle came together for a powerful joint orchestra concert! With six classes across four levels, our orchestra program empowers young leaders and builds lifelong skills through music. Bravo to all the students who performed—and a huge thank you to Castillero Music Booster Club and orchestra teacher Scott Krijnen for making this possible!

  • ??? Science came to life at Lowell Elementary’s Science Night! Students and parents explored hands-on STEM activities designed for all grade levels, guided by real scientists from Science from Scientists. From exciting experiments to interactive learning, the night was filled with discovery and fun!
