This is arguably the most significant presidential election in at least a generation. But, with all the attention on national politics, it’s easy to overlook the critical state and local races and ballot measures. For that, we aim to provide guidance with The Mercury News and East Bay Times editorial endorsements. Between now and Election Day, we will be interviewing candidates and carefully parsing ballot measures to provide analysis and recommendations for Bay Area voters. We have completed our review of the 10 statewide ballot measures and most of the local congressional and state legislative races. We now turn our attention to the city, school and regional board races and the long list of local taxes and other measures on the ballot. The list contains our recommendations and links to the editorials, where we explain our reasoning. We will be updating the list frequently, so please keep checking back. We hope you find it helpful.
