Meet Karl Mickelsen, a firefighter whose journey took an unexpected turn. A former Division I football player at Fresno State University, where he earned a degree in Criminology, Karl was set on a career in law enforcement. But when several of his former teammates-turned-firefighters shared their experiences, he felt inspired to follow a new path and found his true calling in the fire service! ??
