This morning, San Gabriel Valley Economic Partnership team members Paul Thomas and Cristina Ortega attended "Bridging the Gap Between Education & Employment" in Rowland Heights, organized by the Rowland Heights USD, Educational Results Partnership, & the SGV Regional Chamber of Commerce. Speakers included Sen. Bob Archuleta, Sen. Sasha Renée Pérez, & Alex Florez, Rowland USD Superintendent. A panel followed featuring, among others, SGVEP members Dr. Martha Garcia (President, Mt. SAC), Darren Knowles (Superintendent, Pomona USD), & Craig Gott (President, Suburban Water Systems), as well as who everyone agreed was the standout, recent HS graduate Skyla Fuentes (Student Rep, Inner City Struggle). Congratulations on a great and inspiring event!
