The reason that my family keeps coming back is because of the outstanding care that we have received from nurse Char. She is so empathetic and has supported my family during this difficult time. San Dimas was lucky enough to be a part of the Runnin' Scared Run that happened September 28, 2024, for the Runnin' Scared 5K, 1 Mile, and Toddler Trot! ??♂??? Meet Michelle—a dedicated nurse who joined us from Wyoming, bringing her passion for patient care to San Dimas Community Hospital. During one of her shifts on the MST (Med/Surge Telemetry) unit, Michelle experienced a sudden and unexpected seizure. In that critical moment, the team's swift response made all the difference. From the moment Michelle collapsed, her colleagues sprang into action, providing immediate and expert care. Their quick thinking and teamwork not only stabilized her but also exemplified the deep sense of community and support that defines San Dimas. Reflecting on her experience, Michelle shared, "I am very healthy and never had this happen to me before. I am so grateful that my coworkers were able to quickly care for me on the spot. They are such a blessing. Everybody watches out for one another." Michelle's positive experience during this challenging time has only strengthened her bond with our hospital. We are proud to announce that San Dimas Community Hospital's Chief Executive Officer, Parrish Scarboro, has been recognized on the "Community Hospital CEOs to Know" list produced by Becker's Hospital Review! Community hospitals play a vital role in bridging gaps in healthcare, and our dedicated CEO is at the forefront. Just recently the hospital celebrated over 50 years of community care along with its achievements, including many under the stewardship of our CEO. Some of these include significant advancements and facility improvements including facility upgrades; new state-of-art hospital beds; advanced lab, radiology and surgery equipment including the DaVinci Robotic System and the Mako Robotic System, and more. Upcoming investments include a new EPIC electronic medical record system later this year. Scarboro's leadership is instrumental in cultivating a positive workforce culture, directing overarching strategy, expanding offerings, and maintaining financial stability.
