Teaching literacy through music works. Along with supercharging student engagement, this is GITC's greatest area of impact. Here is why. "Neuromusical research has pinpointed the brain mechanisms and interactions that decode language sounds to understand and develop the syntax of language right through to the comprehension and creation of meaning through language. It has led to the enlightening finding that the human brain processes all language as if it was music."
