We had a fantastic lineup of daily games and activities to honor our dedicated housekeeping team. Each day, our team enjoyed delightful surprises, from breakfast treats to tasty lunch, and afternoon snacks. To cap off the week, we closed with an amazing raffle and a live performance by the talented Mariachi Mi San Diego. ????? The energy and joy they brought were the perfect way to end a week filled with celebration and recognition. A huge THANK YOU to every member of our housekeeping team for your dedication, hard work, and the warmth you bring to our hotel every day. You truly make Marriott Mission Valley shine! ???? Day 5 of AAW - Grand Finale! We kicked off the day with hearty breakfast burritos, setting the stage for an incredible day. For lunch, we treated our team to a mouthwatering BBQ featuring tri-tip and BBQ-style chicken from our banquet menu – a true feast for all. The excitement continued with a raffle where we gave away over $1,500 worth of prizes, including $25 gift cards, a grill, and even a TV! ???? But the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the dunk tank, where all our leadership committee members took turns getting dunked. The lines were long, and our General Manager, Josef, set a record by being dunked 17 times! For each throw, employees paid $1, or $5 for seven throws. The cash collected, totaling $260, was raffled off and split between Jen from Sales and Efren from Banquets. What an amazing way to wrap up a week of appreciation and fun. Day 4 of AAW: We kicked off the morning with a nutritious breakfast featuring fresh fruits served in the cafeteria, fueling our team for the day ahead. In a wonderful gesture of appreciation, our managers rolled up their sleeves and washed the cars of over 20 line employees, showcasing their dedication and gratitude. Lunch was a treat with delicious, freshly made pizzas catered by Big Willies, known for their pizzas made for a great cause. The afternoon was made even more special as Christian Schreiner, our F&B Director, embraced his inner ice cream man, riding a bicycle and serving an intriguing selection of frozen treats. To ensure our PM shift didn't miss out, we set up a variety of snacks in the cafeteria for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Stay tuned as we continue celebrating our amazing associates!

Day 3 of Associate Appreciation Week at San Diego Marriott Mission Valley kicked off with invigorating morning stretches led by our HR team, followed by an energizing dance session to the rhythm of the Macarena! The day was filled with relaxation and indulgence as our associates enjoyed rejuvenating massages, fostering a sense of well-being and appreciation. We then gathered for a delightful Mediterranean lunch, savoring delicious flavors and sharing moments of laughter and connection. As the afternoon rolled in, the excitement continued with the hilarious "Junk in the Trunk" game, bringing out smiles and friendly competition among our team. Laughter echoed through the halls as participants wiggled and jiggled to shake out the balls from their tissue box "trunks"! To cap off another fantastic day of celebration, we treated ourselves to savory eggrolls for our PM delighter, indulging in a culinary delight that brought joy and satisfaction to all. Laughter filled the air as teams battled it out, showcasing our spirited teamwork and determination. To show our gratitude, every employee received a beautiful succulent as a token of appreciation. But the celebration didn't stop there! Everyone had the chance to showcase their creativity by designing their own unique pot for their new plant companion. As the day unfolded, we delighted in a delectable hummus bar, savoring an array of flavors and toppings. It was the perfect way to wrap up another memorable day of appreciation and camaraderie.
