Such a privilege to be part of a very special birthday celebration for Willie O’Ree — a result of great collaboration between the San Diego Gulls and the NHL Player Inclusion Coalition. To recognize Willie’s 89th birthday, the Gulls presented Willie with a custom team fedora (adding to his impressive collection)! Then, Pechanga Arena announced a new plaque to honor Willie’s impact as a symbol of equality in hockey. Loved seeing the excitement from Gulls players as they got to meet and hear from a true legend of our game. Over the weekend, we came together to take a stand against cancer on Gulls Fight Cancer Night! Our players wore personalized ribbons representing a type of cancer they wanted to bring awareness to.

Our Women in Sports Hockey Clinic was fantastic! These awesome women stole the show with their skills ??

In the lead-up to our annual Women In Sports Night, join us Sunday, January 28, for our Women In Sports Clinic at The Rinks - Poway ICE!
