It is with deep sadness that San Diego American Indian Health Center shares the news of Margie Anderson's passing this past Friday. From 2015 to 2023, Margie served our community as our Alcohol and Drug Counselor Recovery Specialist. Margie brought not only her professional expertise, but also her heart, passion, and a deep commitment to healing through culturally rooted care. She was a proud Apache, Yaqui, and Hawaiian woman who championed traditional talking circles, youth empowerment, and holistic healing for over 15 years. Margie’s presence was a blessing to us. We remember her vibrant energy and unwavering dedication to wellness—mind, body, and spirit. Many of us also came to know the beautiful teamwork she shared with her husband and best friend, Rob. Their love and unity were evident in all they did together for our community. In honor of Margie’s memory, SDAIHC will send flowers on behalf of the organization. We extend our deepest condolences to Rob, their family, and all who were touched by her kindness and commitment. Details for Margie's Celebration of Life are listed in the following flyer.
