This weekend, we hosted the 4th annual Southeastern Region assembly. It was great to fellowship with troopers from the other 5 chapters, paid tribute to our fallen troopers, recognized some exceptional troopers and swore in our newly elected Region officers. Dr. Marcus S Cox,our keynote speaker, reflected on the original Triple Nickels’ legacy. Embodying our assembly theme of The Legacy Continues: Remembering the Past, Honoring the Present, and Shaping the Future.

Day 1 of Military Appreciation Week ???? Fayetteville State University kicked off the 2024 Military Appreciation week with a Commemerative Walk & Run. We honored the ultimate sacrifice of Servicemembers; some known to us as family, friends, colleagues and others unknown to us by name. Trooper Makeba J. was greeted with cheers from Trooper Janice Robinson and Joann Jeralds, who is the aunt of Trooper Robinson, as she walked by. Joann Jerolds is the wife of late Luther “Nick” Jeralds, the stadium’s namesake. Thank you to Marcus S Cox for the invitation. Saturday evening we held our 30th annual Scholarship Banquet with Dr. Eric Mansfield as our keynote speaker. We were honored by the quilting ministry of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC with a quilt, presented by one of our community partners (The Sherri Arnold Graham Foundation). Thank you to those who attended as well the community for supporting us over the past 30 years. It was great to see partners spanning several decades, members of 30+ years, annual sponsors, our Troopers and friends of the chapter. With your support we’re able to annually provide fifty-two $1000 scholarships.
