Taking a moment to honor our heritage. Nearly a century ago, Sam Cohen’s father, Michael, and brother, Joel, opened M&J Trimming in NYC. The iconic garment-district institution became the ultimate trim destination for the fashion industry. Soon, M&J was discovered by interior designers and Sam ventured to create Samuel & Sons, a separate brand with a mission to bring luxury trimming to the interior design industry. Like many in our community, we are deeply saddened by the recent announcement of M&J’s closing. This moment touches us profoundly, as it marks the end of a remarkable chapter in our heritage. “At Samuel & Sons, we remain committed to keeping the universal magic of trimmings alive that my grandfather helped to pioneer at M&J.” - Michael S.
