Nogales, Arizona ??The Impact We Make Together ?? Since opening our center on September 1, 2024, we are proud to share the incredible difference we have made together. Thanks to the dedication, compassion, and hard work of our volunteers, staff, and supporters, we have served 9,544 guests, including 1,900 family units and 4,124 single adults??. We coordinated 280 buses ?? to ensure safe transportation for individuals and families on their journeys. We provided 9,335 meals ?? and 14,604 snacks ??, ensuring no one went hungry ????. Additionally, we distributed 546 clothing items to bring warmth ??and dignity to those in need and handed out 892 hygiene kits????, along with diapers and other essential supplies to support families with young children. Desde el 21 al 25 de enero capacitamos a migrantes para que puedan tener todas las herramientas para consolidar su idea de negocio ?? y poder emprender un camino de independencia económica. En este programa también reciben asesoría legal gratuita y apoyo emocional para enfrentar los cambios que supone la migración. ?Estamos muy emocionados! ???? Aruba ????! The entrepreneurship training program for migrants living in Aruba ??has officially kicked off, and it’s off to a great start. From January 21 to 25, we trained migrants to provide them with all the tools they need to develop and strengthen their business ideas ?? and embark on a path toward economic independence. This program also offers free legal advice and emotional support to help participants navigate the challenges of migration. We’re thrilled to see this initiative in action! SAMU is seeking a proactive and dynamic Program Manager for our Maryland operation. The Program Manager will lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of SAMU’s current Humanitarian Assistance and Support Grant. This position requires a dynamic, compassionate, and strategic leader with strong operational skills, a commitment to client-centered care, and a passion for advocating for vulnerable populations. The Program Manager will supervise program staff, oversee all grant-funded activities, manage daily operations, and coordinate closely with partners. Qualifications: ? Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). ? Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in program management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within social services setting. ? Fluency in English, with proficiency in a second language (preferably Spanish or French). ? Computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams, and similar applications. ? Experience working with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees, required.? ? Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a dynamic, high-demand environment. ? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, staff, partners, and the donor. ? Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. ? Ability to maintain confidentiality, exhibit professional conduct, and demonstrate cultural competency in working with diverse populations. ? Ability to manage potential emergencies or situations involving individuals in crisis. ? Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass required background checks and health screenings (drugs, alcohol, TB). ? Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 and able to work in-person within the DMV area, with occasional travel/accompaniment to other locations. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
