?? Celebrating Emily Roebling: A Trailblazer in Military Engineering ?? ? In honor of Women's History Month, we celebrate the remarkable Emily Roebling, whose contributions to engineering have had a lasting impact on military engineering projects. ? When her husband, Washington Roebling, fell ill during the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge, Emily took over supervision of the project. Her expertise in materials, stress analysis, and project management was crucial in completing this iconic engineering feat. The Brooklyn Bridge stands as a testament to her determination and skill, inspiring many military engineering projects since. ? Emily Roebling's pioneering spirit and dedication broke barriers and paved the way for future generations of female engineers in the military. Let's honor her legacy and continue to inspire the next generation of leaders in military engineering! ???? ? #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenInEngineering #EmilyRoebling #MilitaryEngineering #EngineeringExcellence #Inspiration #Legacy

?? Celebrating Hazel O'Leary: A Pioneer in Energy and Advocacy ?? ? In honor of Black History Month, we celebrate Hazel O’Leary, the first woman to serve as U.S. Secretary of Energy. A passionate advocate for energy efficiency and renewable energy, Hazel's groundbreaking career spans several decades, during which she broke barriers and shaped energy policy in the U.S. ? Born and raised in a segregated Virginia school system, Hazel overcame adversity to earn a Bachelor of Arts and law degree. Her work caught the attention of three U.S. presidents, with President Gerald Ford appointing her to the Federal Energy Administration, and later, President Bill Clinton naming her the U.S. Secretary of Energy. ? Hazel’s leadership and advocacy led to significant clean energy breakthroughs, supporting research and development while ensuring minority communities had a stronger voice in federal energy policy. Her legacy in advancing energy-efficient technologies continues to shape the future of sustainable energy in the U.S. ? #BlackHistoryMonth #WomenInEnergy #HazelOLeary #SustainableEnergy #CleanEnergy #EnergyEfficiency #STEMLeadership #Legacy

?? Honoring Garrett Morgan: A Visionary Inventor ?? ? In celebration of Black History Month, we recognize Garrett Morgan, an inventor whose groundbreaking innovations have had a lasting impact on public safety and engineering. Born to freed slaves in 1877, Morgan’s work in developing life-saving technologies continues to inspire generations. ? In 1923, Morgan patented the traffic signal, adding a third "all hold" light that became the precursor to today’s amber light. His design improved traffic flow and safety, and he later sold his patent to General Electric for $40,0003. ? Morgan also invented the smoke hood, which was notably used in a 1916 tunnel construction disaster rescue under Lake Erie. His courage and ingenuity saved lives and advanced safety technologies for generations to come. ? Morgan’s contributions remind us of the power of innovation to change the world. ? #BlackHistoryMonth #Innovation #GarrettMorgan #TrafficSignal #SafetyEngineering #STEM #Inventors #Legacy #PublicSafety
