We're honored to be recognized as one of the best hospitals for maternity care access by U.S. News & World Report. Each year, the publication recognizes the best hospitals in the nation for various specialties, including maternity care. This year, U.S. News & World Report also recognized more than 100 hospitals offering vital services in what may otherwise be a maternity care desert. Samaritan was designated a Maternity Care Access Hospital for providing access to essential maternity care services in the Moses Lake region. Areas which improved the hospital’s standing include access to childbirth classes, private rooms or suites, allowing for overnight partner stays post-delivery, and the ability for midwives to attend births. For the 2025 edition, an all-time high of 817 hospitals submitted maternity data for evaluation. Samaritan was one of 11 hospitals recognized in Washington State, and was the only public hospital district to receive the award. These public rankings assist expectant parents, in consultation with their doctors, in making informed decisions about where to receive maternity care for uncomplicated births. On this National Rural Health Day, we are incredibly proud to recognize our very own Theresa Sullivan, MBA, FACHE who has been honored as the Community Star for the state of Washington! ?? Theresa embodies the spirit of rural healthcare through unwavering dedication, innovative leadership, and a deep commitment to improving the health and well-being of our community here in Moses Lake and beyond. When asked what inspired her to pursue a career in rural healthcare, Theresa shared “I took a hospital position in my community without thinking it would become a lifelong love, but it did. I saw the unique and wonderful connection between a rural community and its hospital — neighbors caring for neighbors. When you strengthen a rural hospital, you truly strengthen the whole community. That connection to purpose and community is my inspiration.” Please join us in celebrating Theresa Sullivan and all the rural healthcare heroes who make our communities healthier, stronger, and more vibrant. ?? #NationalRuralHealthDay #CommunityStar #SamaritanHealthcare #RuralHealthcareExcellence https://lnkd.in/gfmvJpdS

A big thank you to Charli for your dedication, and to the SkillSource team for making this collaboration possible. We look forward to celebrating more success together! #WeAreSamaritan
SkillSource invited legislators, directors, and agency partners to tour Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake and meet people who have been served by the successful Economic Security for All (EcSA) initiative and Community Reinvestment Project. As we celebrate the final day of May, we want to take a moment to reflect on a momentous month for Samaritan Healthcare! On Friday, May 3rd Samaritan staff & commissioners, community delegates and volunteers gathered to celebrate the ‘Topping-Off Ceremony’.?The topping-off ceremony marks a significant milestone in our construction project. It's a tradition that dates back centuries and holds deep symbolic value in the world of construction. Historically, it signifies the placement of the final beam atop a structure, marking the completion of the building's framework. Today, it's a celebration of progress, teamwork, and the dedication of everyone involved in bringing our vision to life. As we watched the last beam rise into place, we couldn't help but reflect on the journey that brought us to this moment. Each beam, each brick, and each hour of dedication from the team of professionals united in a shared vision represents countless decisions, challenges overcome, and lessons learned. But above all, this beam represents the unwavering commitment of our community and all of those who believe in the vision of advanced regional healthcare. Thank you! #WeAreSamaritan #BuildCommunity
