Happy 3rd Work Anniversary to our amazing School-Based Mental Health Coordinator, Michaela Monteverde! For three years, Michaela has been a vital part of our team, helping students access the mental health support they need. Her kindness, dedication, and collaborative spirit make a difference every day—not just for the students and schools she serves, but for all of us at Samaritan. Michaela loves the supportive and close-knit culture at Samaritan, where teamwork thrives. And when she's not making an impact at work, you’ll find her spending time with loved ones, getting involved in her church, or unwinding with a great book. Thanks for being a Samaritan, Michaela. We are better because of you! #mentalhealthmatters #schoolbasedmentalhealth

We connect mind and spirit so individuals, families, organizations and community thrive.
关于我们
At Samaritan, we connect mind, body and spirit so individuals, families, organizations and communities thrive. *** Counseling We specialize in connecting mind and spirit through professional, state-licensed psychotherapy. Samaritan counselors treat adults, adolescents, children, couples and families for drug and alcohol abuse; depression; anxiety; marital and family issues; and more. We care for more than 1,000 counseling clients each year. *** Community Wellness We have several programs that help organizations and communities thrive: Clergy and Congregation Care This program strengthens faith leaders and, in turn, faith families through clergy coaching, clergy development groups and spiritual direction. Congregations and couples also can turn to the program for pre-marital counseling. Connected Community Wellness Screen: BWell2Excel This emotional wellness screening program checks 9th graders for mental health symptoms associated with increased suicide risk. Parents provide consent to have their children screened, and teens assent to the screening. Our program manager, site coordinators and clinicians provide their services in area high schools. QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Training Like CPR, QPR is a potentially life-saving emergency response that can help anyone prevent suicide. Certified trainers provide free 90-minute QPR training sessions for employees, schools, churches and clubs by request. *** We are accredited by the Samaritan Institute, one of the nation’s largest outpatient counseling networks. The network’s 70-plus Samaritan centers have offices in some 300 U.S. cities and Tokyo.

We're excited to highlight Sergio Guerrero this month, as he celebrates 3 years as part of the Samaritan family. As a bilingual English-Spanish therapist, Sergio strives to build trusting therapeutic relationships that help his clients healthfully accept and adapt to the challenges in their lives. This year we are asking our staff to answer a couple of questions during their anniversary month. Here's a look at what Sergio said about his experience at Samaritan and where he finds joy in the world. What is something you enjoy about working at Samaritan? One thing I really enjoy about working at Samaritan Counseling in Fox Valley is the sense of community among the staff. It’s not just a workplace—it feels like a family where coworkers can become friends. Having that supportive environment makes the work more fulfilling and creates a positive space to grow both personally and professionally. What little thing brings you joy? A little thing that brings me joy is sharing music recommendations with others, especially ska bands that bring a fun and upbeat vibe to any day. It’s even better when coworkers join in, and we get to bond over our shared interests during breaks! hanks for being a Samaritan, Sergio. We are better because you are a part of our team! If you are interested in working with Sergio, reach out to our front desk staff at 920-886-9319 to schedule an appointment! #workanniversary #beasamaritan #mentalhealthmatters

Our Samaritan Wellness Screen team is proud to partner with parents and educators to help identify students in need of help and connect them to potentially life saving resources.
Wisconsin data shows that teens self-harm more in January. As we enter the new year, be mindful of the warning signs that a young person is intentionally hurting themselves. We recommend talking regularly about coping skills to deal with challenging moments. As we wrap up this year, our hearts are full of gratitude for the amazing support we’ve received from our donors, partners, and community. Each counseling session, school screening, group therapy program, and act of kindness was made possible because of YOU. We’re excited to continue this journey with you in 2025, growing even stronger together.?

Keri Gretebeck isn't a new face to Samaritan, but she is in a new role. Like many other Samaritan's before her, Keri began as a counseling intern. This fall she returned to Samaritan as a Resident Therapist, the last step in a counselor's path to becoming fully licensed. We asked Keri a few questions about her journey in this week's Wellness Wednesday email. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gHyubqd4

Have you heard of Gretchen Rubin's 4 Tendencies? This afternoon the staff at Samaritan identified our tendencies with help from Kelly Bubolz as part of our ongoing Compassion Resilience work. Thanks to Kelly for giving us lots to think about and tools we can use to fight burnout as we work to serve the community. #burnoutprevention #compassionresilience #mentalhealthmatters #beasamaritan

Thanks to Rob Chesnut, Samaritan's 10th Ethics in Business Summit included a light show and a Yeti! It also included important conversations about what integrity looks like, how leaders are the thermostat for integrity in their organizations, and an important reminder: Silence is the enemy of integrity. Thanks to all who attended and our partners who made this event possible. Let's keep talking! Next year's EIB will take place on October 9, 2025. #ethicsinbusiness #intentionalintegrity #mentalhealthmatters

Kudos to our friends at Oshkosh Corporation for another successful Feed the Body Feed the Soul event. Members of Samaritan's Radiate Hope planning committee joined with over 1,000 volunteers to pack 200,000 pounds of rice in 12 hours. The rice packaged yesterday will stay in our local community through the work of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, helping our friends and neighbors thrive. #feedthebodyfeedthesoul #beasamaritan
