One of the things that makes Gulu so special is its incredible sense of community. During a recent CSR initiative with Centenary Bank, AVSI Foundation, Nile Breweries Ltd., and Awii Cooperative, we joined efforts to clean up Gulu City Market, helping out with an overflowing garbage skip alongside local vendors and residents. We also spent time at St. Jude Children’s Home, connecting with the children and sharing essentials to support their daily needs. It was a day of teamwork, laughter, and enjoying being part of a vibrant community. #SamaCulture

As AI technology grows, countries are creating rules to make sure it's used safely and fairly. These rules help protect consumers, ensure AI is transparent, and prevent harm. Some important regulations include the EU AI Act, the US Executive Order on AI, and Colorado's AI Consumer Protection Act. The challenge is to make sure these rules don't stop innovation. While it's important to keep things safe and clear, we don't want to hold back new ideas. One way to do this is through Humans-in-the-Loop (HITL), where human experts oversee AI to make sure it works properly and ethically. Our carbon emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global authority on corporate climate standards. This ensures that our goals align with the 1.5°C trajectory of the Paris Agreement, demonstrating our commitment to combating climate change. But what does that mean in simple terms? It means we’re taking science-backed, measurable steps to reduce our environmental impact—not just for Sama, but for the entire ecosystem we’re a part of. By partnering with us, you can trust that sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, allowing you to balance growth with the urgent need to reduce your environmental impact. Choosing the right generative AI model is no small feat, especially as these tools drive more business value than ever. At Sama, we’re committed to helping companies make informed decisions about their AI models. Recently, we ran a thorough evaluation of three popular models—Llama 3.2, Gemini 1.5 Pro, and Claude 3.5 Sonnet—to see which best meets real-world needs. Our expert team assessed nearly 1,500 responses, diving deep into model strengths, weaknesses, and the nuances of quality. While Claude emerged slightly ahead with more consistent responses, each model brought unique tradeoffs, like Gemini’s near-perfect captions that sometimes faced unexpected challenges. Understanding these subtle differences can be a game-changer for companies looking to harness AI without risking reliability or brand trust. Want to see which model might be the best fit for your business? We break down our findings and explain how Sama’s approach can give you confidence in your AI choice.
