We’re constantly challenging ourselves at Sam’s Club for how we can be a better retailer and better partner, while providing incredible value for our members both in clubs and online. Part of that comes down to confidence in our plans for growth and trust, which is why we recently hosted 600+ suppliers in Northwest Arkansas and thousands more online to share our strategy and to bring them along on our journey. As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m excited to highlight two amazing Club Managers, Jamaily Marrero Ayala Marrero from Club #8209 in Fayetteville and @Cesar Angulo from Club #4774 in Secaucus. Both Jamaily and Cesar are proud of their Latin roots, which have shaped who they are as leaders and as people.?Their journeys are all about overcoming challenges, seizing opportunities, and building strong, supportive communities within Sam's Club.?? ? Jamaily, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, began her Sam’s Club journey in 2015 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. After moving to the U.S., she embraced new challenges and continued pushing forward, building a better life for her family while advancing her career. With her incredible energy and deep belief in betting on herself, Jamaily isn’t just an inspiring leader—she’s a mentor and a friend who lifts others up as she grows. With the love and support of her exceptional family, she’s making a difference for many, especially other women, who she continues to encourage and guide. ? Cesar’s story begins here in the U.S., born to Salvadoran parents. He started his career over 16 years ago as a part-time Hardlines Associate in Secaucus, a club he would later come to lead after taking on various roles in different New Jersey clubs. Cesar credits much of his success to the mentorship and guidance he’s received over the years, and now he’s paying it forward by helping the next generation succeed. His ability to connect with and train associates in Spanish has created an environment where everyone feels like they belong. His bilingual skills have empowered many of his team members to shine and feel truly valued. ?? Jamaily and Cesar both represent the values at the heart of Sam’s Club—hard work, dedication, and a commitment to elevating those around them.? ? For the second time in two weeks, many of our associates and communities have felt the impact of a major hurricane. We want those affected to know we stand with you and we're working quickly to help aid in relief and recovery. Walmart, Sam's Club and the Walmart Foundation are committing an additional $6 million to support urgent relief, including grants to Volunteer Florida, the Hispanic Federation, Meals on Wheels, and other local organizations across the state. Overall, more than $23 million has been committed and raised by customers and members in the past two weeks to support communities recovering from both hurricanes. Before the storm made landfall, we positioned over 300 refrigerated trucks and 500 truckloads of essential supplies in key locations. We’ve assisted more than 5,000 Walmart and Sam’s Club associates with evacuations, and we'll continue to look for ways to support them through this time. As millions face the heartbreak of losing homes and power, we’re working with nonprofits and suppliers to set up mobile units in store parking lots and provide much-needed resources, including free meals, WiFi hotspots, charging stations and laundry and shower services. To support the thousands of Floridians who evacuated, we’re also working closely with shelters to provide essential supplies. We’re excited about re-opening our Grapevine club next week and bringing Sam’s Club back to the community. As we continue to test new initiatives, Grapevine will be an innovation center where we can blend online and offline experiences, which allows us to provide an enhanced shopping experience for our members. We’re moving quickly to make sure all our associates and members affected by Hurricane Helene are safe and supported. Together with Walmart and the Walmart Foundation, Sam's Club is committing up to $6 million for relief efforts. This includes essential supplies, food, water and grants to aid organizations. ? Sam's Club is ready for the holiday with incredible items and amazing people. We were proud to celebrate both this week at the Sam’s Club Holiday Meeting. Congratulations to Vanessa Smith, who earned the Blue Coat Award, the highest individual honor at Sam’s Club. Vanessa is a key member of our member-obsessed culture, and we’re grateful for her hard work on behalf of all our associates. Our merchants keep developing new and exciting items.
