*TOMORROW* The Tampa Bay tech community will once again join forces to protect the local environment at the 3rd annual “Tampa Tech Beach Cleanup 3.0,” taking place Saturday, Feb 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Dunedin Causeway. “We are thrilled to host the 3rd annual Tampa Tech Beach Cleanup,” said John Helms, Executive Director, Salty Soul Foundation. “This event showcases the commitment of the Tampa Bay tech community to environmental stewardship and provides a tangible way for us to give back to the beautiful coastal environment we all enjoy.” The Tampa Tech Beach Cleanup 3.0 is made possible by the generous sponsorship of leading technology companies, including: ConnectWise INFIMA Security KnowBe4 Phin Security Proofpoint

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Anna Byrd on January 5, 2025. Anna was more than just a supporter of the Salty Soul Foundation; she was family. From our very first cleanup, Anna has been a constant source of encouragement, support, and unwavering belief in our mission. As Mary's mother and John's mother-in-law, Anna was deeply connected to the heart of our organization. But her support extended far beyond familial ties. She embraced the Salty Soul Foundation with a passion that touched each of us deeply. We will forever cherish the memory of Anna’s constant inquiries about our cleanups. She always wanted to know how things were going, eager to hear about our progress and offer her support. She had a knack for making sure we had everything we needed to keep our dreams alive, often going above and beyond to lend a helping hand. Even though she lived in Grenada, MS, Anna's spirit was always with us on the coast. She was a walking advertisement for our cause, proudly sporting our shirts wherever she went. And she never missed an opportunity to share our book, 'Hunu's Journey,' with anyone who would listen, beaming with pride as she told its story. Her enthusiasm was infectious and inspired so many others to learn about our work. Anna’s dedication to the Salty Soul Foundation was a testament to her generous spirit and her belief in the power of community. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and support will continue to inspire us. We extend our deepest condolences to Mary, John, and all of Anna’s family and friends.
