Recently, a federal district court lifted the last remaining nationwide injunction stopping #BOI reporting requirements. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (#FinCEN) has extended the filing deadline to March 21, 2025, with reports free to file through FinCEN’s BOI E-Filing System. Reporting companies that were previously given a deadline later than March 21, 2025, may still file their initial BOI report by their extended deadline. The #IRS recently announced temporary relief for #crypto holders required to report and record the sale and transaction of digital units to their brokers using the “First In, First Out” (#FIFO) accounting method for calculating capital gains. Up until Dec. 31, 2025, individual and corporate taxpayers will have the flexibility to use other methods such as “Highest In, First Out” (#HIFO), “Last In, First Out” (#LIFO) or “Specific Identification” (#SpecID) to potentially lower their tax liability.
