Excited to welcome Mark Benussi as an Advisor at Salley! Mark?is a Senior Director at Salesforce. Before that, he was the Director of Technical Consulting at Slack, where he led a team of brilliantly talented Technical Architects who solved complex challenges and delivered solutions for Slack's largest enterprise customers across North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa. He’s held multiple senior operations roles, such as AKQA where he was Director of Technical Operations, among others. From my first meeting with him, it was clear that he was passionate about our application of AI and behavioral science to solve key pain points at enterprises. He is ecstatic about our product’s potential to deliver significant value and meaning for users. Awesome to have him involved as we build Salley and gear up for enterprise pilots later this year :)

Last year, I asked a simple question. “What if we brought rising managers and executives from some of the best companies together on a monthly basis to help each other navigate some of the key challenges of being a leader?”. After hosting 12 of these sessions, it’s crazy to think how impactful they’ve been. We’ve also had top industry leaders join in person to share their knowledge and experiences. It has been spectacular to see how these have evolved! Top managers and rising executives from Google, Mastercard, Amex Ventures, Moody’s, Oscar Health, and many more have benefited from these. None of this would have been possible without the amazing team at Salley. Excited to take these Salley Sessions to new heights this year! Stay tuned :)

My 2024 recap: - Launched and grew Salley Sessions - our monthly leadership growth workshops. - Had leaders from UBS, mParticle, Mastercard, Amex Ventures, Google, etc. participate in Salley Sessions. - Started angel investing. - Finally went back home to Ghana after 6 years, since moving to the US. - Assembled a world class team of researchers, behavioral scientists, etc. for Salley AI. - Moved to San Francisco for the summer ?? - Joined Solaris AI in SF - was a community and workspace for some of the best AI startup teams. - Made some amazing new friends and reconnected with old ones. - Built close relationships with enterprise executives. - Brushed up my piano, singing and guitar skills ?? And more Salley related updates to be announced later! I'm truly grateful for this journey so far and excited for an exponential 2025 :) PS: that's a picture I took in Ghana during my visit back ????

Excited to welcome Gus Cooney Ph.D. as Research and Behavioral Data Science Advisor at Salley! He's a social psychologist who studies conversation and social interaction. He received his Ph.D. at Harvard University and currently teaches Negotiations at The Wharton School. From my first chat with him, it was clear that he's fascinated by the dynamics of conversation and social interaction. He's also passionate about applying insights from basic conversation research to issues facing society and organizations. I believe he'll be an excellent addition to our elite group of researchers, scientists and engineers coming together to develop the most advanced Enterprise AI for organizational and team effectiveness. We've made significant progress over the last few months at Salley and I can't wait to share more in the future! Stay tuned :)

We hosted yet another exciting leadership growth session on "Effective Communication" a few weeks ago. Andrew Cohen, founder and CEO of Brainscape joined us to discuss his experience and insights from leading his company over the last 14+ years. There were lots of learnings and laughter afterwards during the workshop session with Shaun Mader. Big shoutout to Derek Lee and 115 Grand for the video and audio marketing partnership for Salley Sessions. They took these stunning photos :) We're making a number of awesome changes to amplify the impact of these sessions. Stay tuned!

I’m happy to share that Salley is now part of the NVIDIA Inception Program! As some of you may already know, we’re building an Enterprise AI for leadership growth based on behavior science and psychology. It will be the best AI, by far, for inferring leadership effectiveness and potential. By joining this program, we now have preferred pricing access to NVIDIA software and hardware, as well as technical implementation support from their Deep Learning Institute and developer forums. We're working on a novel, more effective approach to leadership development. As such, we’re doing some extensive research on human behaviors, communication and bias. That’s all I can say about Salley AI for now. Stay tuned for exciting updates in the future :)

Very excited to have Salley covering a workshop on Leading Change, last month’s session topic, at all in all’s summit later this month. It’s sure to be a cool event.

Last week, we hosted another epic leadership development session in New York! Topic of the evening was "Leading Change" with Session leader Max Segan - Senior Engineering Director at Meta. He spoke about his experience navigating 12 years of leadership at Meta: the shift in challenges faced as the team he led grew and what it looks like to own and represent the decisions your company makes. After that, participants moved into discussing their experiences with leading change at their various companies - the fears, frustrations, and excitements. The Salley team went above and beyond to make this happen :) Lots of exciting things in the works at Salley. And we're just getting started
