Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce President/CEO William Chambers, Past SACC Board Chair and MD Chamber of Commerce Board member Sandy Fitzgerald Angello, and other members of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce board met yesterday with Governor Wes Moore in Annapolis. The Maryland Chamber of Commerce Federation of Chambers, representing local and regional Chambers across Maryland, convened yesterday in Annapolis for their fall meeting. In addition to meeting with senior Staff of the Gov. Wes Moore Administration, Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce President and Federation Chair William Chambers was joined by ten Chamber Executives representing the statewide business community.

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its September General Membership luncheon at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland. Before an audience of seventy-five regional business and organizational leaders, the Chamber welcomed Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Kevin Anderson as the keynote speaker. Secretary Anderson addressed several Maryland Commerce initiatives and told the audience, “Our department recognizes the vibrant economy that makes up our state’s Eastern shore, and our team at Commerce is here to support those businesses.” Read more: https://bit.ly/4dcFftx

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce and the Lower Shore American Job Center proudly host their annual regional Job and Career Fair every fall at the Centre at Salisbury. This year’s fair, presented by Quality Staffing Services will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. The regional Job and Career Fair is FREE for attendees and open to the community. Over 65 employers participate in the Job & Career Fair, and approximately 2000 job seekers attend the event. Any business seeking employees in the Lower Shore region is encouraged to participate, regardless of company size. The Job & Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for employers to meet prospective employees face-to-face. Job seekers will have direct access to hundreds of job openings in various industries.
