?? Employee Spotlight: Gale Hawkins ?? Meet Gale Hawkins, our Production Coordinator and self-proclaimed "production gopher", ensuring sandblast stencils are completed accurately and on time. She’s always ready to help, troubleshoot, and learn, keeping things running smoothly at Salem Stones. ? “I think a lot of people mistake the fact that we're just a company that deals in rock. We are a company that deals in memories.” Beyond work, Gale is a craft enthusiast with a yarn obsession, a love for watercolor painting, calligraphy, and counted cross-stitch, and a passion for collecting cookbooks—including a 1917 edition from her great-grandmother. “I have a recipe that says to put ‘a lump of butter the size of an egg.’ A cup is a teacup. A teaspoon is the actual spoon. It’s just fascinating!” She’s also a brain tumor survivor, devoted grandmother, and proud wife. Her love story with her husband, Don, is straight out of a romance novel— they went on their first date on February 15th and were married by March! ?? ?? “I think Salem is a very giving, embracing, and caring culture that stems from Lenin. I think it’s the values that he holds that are reflected in the people that he hires. That’s why I love it.” Whether she’s troubleshooting in production, crafting at home, or spending time with family, Gale brings dedication, kindness, and a touch of humor to everything she does. We’re lucky to have her on our team! ??
