Sakal Capital Management

Sakal Capital Managemnet was started in 2016 by Kris Bort, who has been a financial service professional for over 20 years. His specialty is primarily in Private Equity and Private Wealth Management. Prior to launching Sakal Capital Management, Kris was the President & Founder of wealth management firm Light Capital Group and has worked at both Skye Banc Regal Securities and First Midwest Securities. Before then, he spent a good part of his career working with General Investment Corporation, a Russian based Private Equity firm, where he managed and raised capital for firms. He currently holds the series 7, 63 and 24 securities licenses. The investment objective of the Fund is to maximize risk-adjusted returns over the long-term. The Fund has broad and flexible investment authority, but its primary method is to invest in equity securities and occasionally debt securities. The Fund’s investments may at any time include, but are not limited to, U.S. or non-U.S., long or short positions in publicly traded or privately issue or negotiated common stocks; preferred stocks, stock warrants and rights, corporate debt, bonds, notes or other debentures or debt participations, convertible securities, fixed income securities, options (purchases or written), derivative instruments in relation to one or more of the foregoing, partnership interests and other securities or financial instruments including those of investment companies.
