We’re looking for an Organizer for our Land Use and Equitable Development Team, which is rethinking urban policy to ensure development includes our whole community from conceptualization to completion. The Land Use and Equitable Development Organizer will be responsible for base-building and outreach related to SAJE’s campaigns to transform housing opportunities and land use through mechanisms including the Housing Element, community plans, investment in social housing, and the decommodification of housing. The Tenant Engagement Specialist role will conduct direct outreach to Los Angeles-area tenants, through phone banking, door knocking, text banking, and canvassing at the Los Angeles County Courts. They will also connect tenants to county and city resources and make referral to legal services, and they will create and facilitate workshops on tenant rights and fighting evictions without legal representation. https://lnkd.in/gn2BxEdv
