关于我们

The SAISD Foundation is the Education Foundation for the San Antonio Independent School District. In 2007, the organization began actively fundraising to support innovation and educational excellence in this urban, historic school district located in the heart of San Antonio. The SAISD Foundation works to engage business partners, alumni and those who live and work in downtown in supporting teachers and students in SAISD. With an active Board of Directors and in partnership with SAISD, the SAISD Foundation annually invests four million dollars in educator grants, student scholarships, and strategic initiatives impacting the 48,000 students and 90 schools in SAISD.

Travis Early College High School allows students to earn an associate degree and secure three years of practicum experience, shortening the time it would take to complete a bachelor’s degree by two years and smoothening the transition from students to full-time certified teachers. https://lnkd.in/g4snzvnT

Had an amazing time today sorting and boxing books for a great cause! ?? Thanks to our collective efforts, we packed 16 boxes with over 1,100 books—all headed to children’s homes where they’ll inspire and empower young readers. Grateful to SAISD Foundation for organizing this initiative and to my fellow Bank of America teammates for their dedication. It’s always rewarding to give back to the community and make a real impact together!

  • A huge THANK YOU to Frost Bank for hosting a book drive in February for new and gently used chapter books (English, Spanish & Bilingual) for 1st through 5th graders in San Antonio ISD in support of our Book Buddies program! Your generosity is helping put books into the hands of young readers across our district, fostering a love of learning and literacy. Because of partners like Frost, we can ensure more students have access to books that inspire, educate, and empower them. Thank you for investing in our community’s future—one book at a time!

  • Celebrate Your SAISD Pride on LinkedIn and Inspire Future Generations In our “Where We Started Matters” series, we have highlighted #SAISDProud alumni, who built their foundations in our San Antonio ISD schools. This week, we're encouraging all SAISD alumni to celebrate their educational foundation by listing their high school in their LinkedIn education section. When you do this, you not only share the story of your own unique path but also inspire current SAISD students to dream about theirs. Why does it matter? For students navigating their way through high school, seeing alumni like you proudly displaying SAISD on LinkedIn shows them the incredible possibilities for their future. It brings visibility to the SAISD community, highlighting the diverse paths its graduates have taken. You were once in their shoes, and now you can help guide their journey with just a few clicks. Scroll through to see how to add your high school. Once you’ve updated your profile, we’d love to see you share it in a post! Not sure what to say? Here’s a post we created for you: ?"I just updated my LinkedIn profile to show that I am a #SAISDProud alum by adding [High School Name] to my education! I’m grateful for the foundation and friendships I made during those years. Adding my high school to my LinkedIn profile helps me reconnect with former classmates and support current students by sharing my career pathway as they dream about their future and what’s possible for themselves.?? ?? If you're an SAISD alum, join me by adding your high school to your LinkedIn, and let’s show the world where we got our start!" Together, we can build a network of SAISD alumni who inspire, mentor, and motivate the next generation. So, take a moment to add your high school to LinkedIn, share your story, and connect with the SAISD community! #SAISDProud #WhereWeStartedMatters To make it even easier, here are links to your pages: Burbank https://lnkd.in/ggb_Syhp? We are proud to play a role in this important work. Supporting emotional recovery rooms (or peace rooms) on our elementary school campuses as requested through our $5,000 Bright Idea grants has been powerful as well.

This isn’t like any classroom you’ve ever seen.?? ? With bubble machines, colored lights, modern furnishings, custom-made art, weighted plush toys and an aroma therapy diffuser, the new “peace room” at Sam Houston High School is a refuge for students reeling from the stresses of life.? ? The peace room is among the first the San?Antonio Independent School District is phasing in at high school and middle school campuses. The one at Sam Houston opened in early February and is already getting 40-45 students daily?— up to a dozen in the room at one time.? ? “When it comes to the peace room, I can push the school work away, come here and bring in my inner self,” said Demitri Smith, a sophomore. “You’re calm, you’re not stressing out about the students in the hallways, fights, none of that. You’re just in the peace room being yourself, away from all the chaos and drama.”? https://bit.ly/3D8Kb6M

Stop scrolling... This is Aidan, he’s an awesome Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University student majoring in areonautical engineering. He’s a total genius #STEM nerd and I’m having an amazing time serving as his mentor through the SAISD Foundation. Aidan has a great heart and I’m confident he’s going to use his degree to help develop new technologies and solutions for modern society. Like me (and many of you), he's a #firstgen college student, so help me celebrate #NationalEngineersWeek and share some words of encouragement for him in the comments.
