Now in her 20th?year with SAI, Amy says that “Over the years, I have seen more and more women coming into the construction industry in all facets (construction workers, inspectors, and supervisors).?When I first started in the industry, I can remember walking into a class, and I was the only woman. Fast forward, 20 years and now when I walk into those same classes, women are well represented.?Most importantly, I am seeing these women being given opportunities for advancement in their positions.?I believe women in this industry have a place but do have to work harder to prove themselves; however, the potential for success is there you just have to want it.” ?
