As we approach Global Day of Unplugging on March 7, I’m excited to highlight how UScellular is supporting meaningful digital breaks through the next evolution of our “Built for US” campaign. ? A survey we conducted in December revealed that while 90% of parents monitor their kids' phone use, 76% of youth feel their parents think they’re on their phones too much. Through the creation of our Board of Connectors—a group of youth from Boys & Girls Clubs of America and children of UScellular associates, we are bringing in the voice of youth to provide inspiration in how families approach technology use. ? UScellular is donating 1,000 phone boxes to Boys & Girls Clubs to help families put their phones away and focus on quality time together. We’ve also created DIY instructions and made them available at uscellular.com/BuiltForUs?so anyone can create their own phone box. ? From our Phone’s Down for 5 Challenge, US Mode, Smarter Start Toolkit and recent partnerships with Alanis Morrisette, HARDY, Chase Rice and several collegiate athletes, UScellular continues to lead the conversation around creating healthy digital habits.
