The question:?“How can we identify non-metastatic colon cancer cases that don’t require further treatment after surgery?”. Yet, treatment decisions after colon cancer surgery are often based on standard protocols rather than a patient’s individual needs. This #WorldCancerDay, we ask: Can we do better? The SAGITTARIUS clinical trial is exploring a new, personalised approach using liquid biopsy - a simple blood test that detects signs of cancer after surgery. Instead of relying on standard treatment protocols, this could help tailor post-surgical care to each patient’s needs, ensuring: ?? The right treatment at the right time ??
