    Self-awareness isn’t just about your reflection—it’s about their perception. It’s one thing to look in the mirror and reflect on how you’re showing up. It’s another to see through the mirror—to truly understand how others experience you. Here’s the real challenge: Is there congruency between the you that you see and the you that they see? One of the best pieces of advice I ever got: Identify three ways you want to show up. Mine? Present. Patient. Intentional. Then, ask those around you—your team, your family, your friends—is that how you experience me? Whew. Let’s just say… my mirror got a little foggy. My kids didn’t always see the patience I thought I had. My spouse wasn’t feeling the presence I believed I was giving. My team? Missing the intentionality behind my ideas. Next time you look in the mirror, don’t stop there. Step through it. Look at your people—your circles. How are they experiencing you? If there’s a gap, bridge it. Create alignment between who you want to be and who they truly see.
