The American College of Healthcare Executives kicked off with messages from two prestigious speakers yesterday, one being a personal favorite Carla Harris. It was a thrill to hear her in person claim, "Fear has no place in your success equation." However, I think the most meaningful takeaway for me was her message to, "Call a thing a thing," when she described the pathway to let certain projects die fast so you can quickly extract the lessons and move on to the next thing. The tension in the room was palpable but so was the sigh of relief as leaders looked around the room, making eye contact with so many others, pondering their own experiences. It was a disarming way to kick-off a week of hearing new ideas. As leaders, we must foster failure on the path to success.

Chelsea Baria, Vice President, Financial Controller, demonstrates her meticulousness attention to detail and her finance acumen forms financial backbone to navigate through a complex financial landscape. Chelsea's leadership style fosters a culture that celebrates independence, promotes inclusivity, and drives personal and professional growth. Both Jami and Chelsea have navigated the leadership with a poise, acumen and precision that we all aspire to when faced with critical choices.
