Clone Robotics, a Polish company, has introduced Clone Alpha, its first full-scale humanoid robot. This "musculoskeletal android" replicates human skeletal, muscular, vascular, and nervous functions using synthetic organs and artificial muscles. Clone Alpha’s muscular system uses Myofiber to attach artificial muscle fibers to bones for natural movement. Its skeleton includes all 206 human bones, articulated joints, and synthetic ligaments. The robot’s nervous system features 4 depth cameras, 70 inertial sensors, and 320 pressure sensors for muscle feedback. It uses an NVIDIA Jetson Thor GPU for its visuomotor model. The vascular system includes a 500-watt electric pump that mimics a human heart, using Aquajet valve technology for hydraulic pressure. Princeton University researchers have created the first-ever complete brain map of an adult fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster). They used AI and human collaboration to map 139,000 neurons and tens of millions of connections, producing a detailed “Google Map” of the brain.
