The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a final rule setting emissions limits for medical device sterilizers that use ethylene oxide. The changes are expected to reduce emissions of the chemical by 21 tons per year and reduce people’s lifetime cancer risk. The EPA also granted sterilizers more time to come into compliance with the new requirements. https://lnkd.in/d6_KXU2K
