Members and partners of Safe States celebrated National Injury Prevention Day around the globe on Monday. Here's how a few of Safe States members and partners contributed to the event: - JPS Health Network held an Injury Prevention Day Seminar. The seminar gave hospital staff insight into public health models and effective strategies for injury prevention (?? 1). - Covenant HealthCare celebrated Injury Prevention Day by highlighting its programs and passing out gun locks to promote safe storage. The state of Michigan passed safe storage laws in February 2024 (?? 2). -The University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center spent National Injury Prevention Day educating students about the field, networking with other injury prevention researchers across campus, and promoting the many training activities available at our center. They even had light-up green buttons in recognition of the "shine a green light" theme (?? 3). - BAYLOR SCOTT & WHITE MEDICAL CENTER- MCKINNEY participated in outreach supporting Injury Prevention Day. (?? 4). - Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center and Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, busy Level I Trauma Centers, were lit green on Monday to support Injury Prevention Day (?? 5).
