Setbacks are hard but you gotta keep pushing. Just two years ago my mental-health school platform did exceptionally well in pilot programs after raising 1.8 million dollars in investor funding. The software stopped multiple suicide attempts and a possible school shooting. The future seemed bright... Why did schools drop contracts on the last day? They told me, "Ignorance is bliss. If we don't act on a possible suicide attempt that Safe Kids reports because it is outside of school hours, we lose our jobs. We would rather not know." Two years later, I have held onto my project that is so near and dear to me. I have declined offers from companies to buy Safe Kids patents and IP. Why? I still have hope. There have to be school districts that are willing to prioritize the lives of kids. Stomach the bureaucracy -- focus on kids who struggle, just like I did as a 13 year old. I would like a moment to thank Tara Garcia Mathewson, an investigative reporter from The Markup, for publishing an article about Safe Kids AI. "GoGuardian investigation, The Red Flag Machine, looked into Safe Kids in response to an inquiry by The Markup. Accustomed to pointing out how bad filters are, he offered surprised praise for Safe Kids" "This is, really, I think, an improved option for all the things that we are generally concerned about," Jason Kelley said. Safe Kids is a better alternative and it is time to spread the word. I will keep pushing for school contracts -- kids deserve a software that puts their health first and it is about time. Her insightful article is attached below.

Online petition to Congress to add "education" in the Kids Online Safety Act. Please support us and make a difference in the lives of millions!
Dear Friends, I would really appreciate your support with this. I am trying to convince the senate leadership to add "education" as a key part of legislation in the Kids Online Safety Act. I believe this is the only way we can protect teens and pre-teens online on social media platforms. Please support me! https://lnkd.in/em8-z8AQ

Aahil Valliani on FOX 13 Tampa Bay discussing the new Florida Bill which aims to block all social media for kids under 16.
I was interviewed last night by Evyn Moon at FOX 13 Tampa Bay regarding the new Florida bill that would ban all social media. Punitive legislation is not the answer and instead the legislation should focus on providing education to the kids and adults that is delivered in-the-moment. The "education" component is what needs to be in the bill. https://lnkd.in/e3md7GQf

I need your help. Please push congress to add an educational component to the Child Safety Act.
Dear Friends, Family and others, I really need your help! I have been looking at the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) that is recently being proposed. After reading the legislation, there is not a single place in the legislation where the platforms need to "educate" the kids or adults on why the content they may be viewing is perhaps dangerous to their mental health. The solution to this issue is multi-faceted but "education" is the key ingredient. I hope anyone who knows their congressman or Senator, please push them to include language where the social media companies need to "educate" users if they are accessing content that may be harmful to their mental health. Thank you, Aahil
