When parents can be supported "before" a crisis even occurs, children can remain safe, and families can stay together. Forced removals can cause feelings of instability, loss of control, and fear in a child. For parents, the removal of a child can exacerbate mental health stress. At Safe Families, we provide relationships and resources to isolated parents and, if necessary, host children for a short period in a safe environment with a host family.
