This event focused on the practical use of the Safe and Sustainable-by-Design (SSbD) framework. Our partner,?ISQ represented SAFARI with an oral presentation in the first session on Friday. Technology roadmapping provides pathways to transition innovations from research and development to large scale production and industrial applications. At SAFARI, we are developing a strategic roadmap to accelerate the commercialization of MXenes and MXenes/Graphene hybrids. SAFARI aim is also to ensure the materials produced with the Safe-and-Sustainable by Design (SSbD) practices are tested in end users applications and scaled up in a nearby future. The 2D-BioPAD project is developing graphene-based sensors aimed at providing affordable and reliable solutions for Alzheimer′s detection. Both 2D-BioPAD and SAFARI operate under the umbrella of the Graphene Flagship initiative. SAFARI present at the Electronica Fair 2024. Jaqueline de Godoy, PhD and Myrto Pelopida from AXIA Innovation GmbH were at the fair, networking, presenting the innovations under the SAFARI project and getting immersed in the last advancements on the electronics field. Electronica is the world’s leading trade fair. It happens every two years and provides a comprehensive update of the rapidly developing technology in all fields of electronics. Leading companies present forward-looking innovations and use the trade fair to expand and maintain their global networks. ? ??HAPPENING NOW. ? The 5th International Workshop on Spark Plasma Sintering. Dariusz Garbiec, the SAFARI coordinator from @?ukasiewicz – Poznański Instytut Technologiczny, was invited to chairing the opening session yesterday, as well as, delivering an invited presentation titled "SPS-synthesized MAX phases: processing and applications". It was a great opportunity to showcase the advancements of the SAFARI project in the production of MXenes and hybrids of MXenes and Graphene. The event, organized by Claude ESTOURNES, is the largest event of the FAST/SPS community, where representatives of research and industry exchange experiences and achievements in the development of FAST/SPS technology and manufactured materials. ? Last week, two members of our team, Carlos Bernárdez Casás and Valeria Acevedo García, traveled to Thessaloniki (Greece) to participate in the 2o-Safe and Sustainable-by-Design (#SSbD) boot camp organised by the European Partnership for the Assessment of Risks from Chemicals (PARC) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). The program focused on an in-depth understanding of the SSbD framework and the stage-gate #innovation process, demonstrating real-life #applications. This was followed by hands-on training of the participants on the #PARC SSbD toolbox. Our colleagues enjoyed this great opportunity to improve their knowledge in the #SSbD field, like in the #sustainability side, the one we develop in AIMEN for SAFARI Project; and the integration with the #safety field as an innovative process.
