In a historic first, United States Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Dave Allvin joined Japan Air Self-Defense Force Chief of Staff Gen. Uchikura Hiroaki and Republic of Korea Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Lee Young-su this week in a trilateral meeting of the?U.S., Japanese, and Korean air chiefs. The leaders discussed the regional security environment and explored ways to continue deepening trilateral cooperation to contribute to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, in the Indo-Pacific, and beyond. United States Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Dave Allvin hosted RSAF - Royal Saudi Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz for an official counterpart visit this week to strengthen the longstanding U.S. defense partnership with Saudi Arabia, which has served as a cornerstone for regional stability and deterrence for decades. As part of the visit, Turki received a full honors arrival and was awarded a Legion of Merit at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling before attending both an office call and staff talks with Allvin at the Pentagon. During the office call, the leaders exchanged views on the regional security environment and reaffirmed the importance of close cooperation to deter shared threats. Turki also separately met with SAF/IA Kelli Seybolt to discuss key security cooperation initiatives and to further identify ways to advance shared interests and priorities. Last week, Assistant SAF/IA Brig. Gen. Ricky Mills attended the 7th edition of Marrakech Air Show in #Morocco to reaffirm the United States Department of the Air Force’s strong partnership with the Royal Moroccan Air Force and our shared commitment to a stable and prosperous African continent. During the event, Mills met with senior leaders from the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces to advance mutual security objectives in support of the longstanding bilateral defense relationship. Ricky Mills, Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs United States Air Force aircraft and senior officials arrived at the Marrakech Airshow 2024 (MAS) in #Morrocco this week. The trade show features static and aerial displays of military and civilian aircraft and is an opportunity for international aerospace industry representatives to showcase their capabilities at the Marrakech Royal Moroccan Air Force Base from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2, 2024. This year, the United States is participating with several aircraft platforms including a C-130J Super Hercules from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, and a Utah National Guard KC-135 Stratotanker. The Utah National Guard has held an active partnership with Morocco since 2003 through the State Partnership Program, fostering strong, trust-based relationship focused on security cooperation. “We are glad to be back in Morocco,” said Brig. Ricky Mills, traveled across the Indo-Pacific region to reinforce alliances and partnerships in the National Defense Strategy’s pacing theater. Last month, SAF/IA?Director of Policy, Programs, and Strategy Steven Ruehl delivered a keynote address at the Air Attaché Association-Washington DC quarterly luncheon. The AAA brings together U.S.-based foreign air and space attachés with the intent of enhancing collaboration and information exchange with the United States Department of the Air Force and among its members. As the event was held on September 11th, Ruehl discussed his experience working at the Pentagon on the day of the attacks and talked about the value of international partnerships and cooperation in the months and years after. Ruehl also highlighted the necessity of continuing to work closely with Allies and partners given today’s changing threat landscape. #SecurityThroughCooperation #StrongerTogether?

Assistant SAF/IA Brig. Gen. Ricky Mills recently visited #Tunisia for a series of engagements that reaffirmed the United States Department of the Air Force commitment to expanding Tunisia’s role as a regional security leader and training hub for partners across the African continent. During the trip, Mills toured the Tunisian Air Force (TAF) Academy in Borj El Amri, attended the delivery ceremony of four Textron C-208EX aircraft at Al Aouina Air Base, and received briefings at the TAF pilot training school at Sfax Air Base, home to the TAF fleet of T-6C trainers.
