Judges & Volunteers Needed April 7-9th! STEM Racing (formerly F1 in Schools) is in need of judges and volunteers for their National Final Competition in Charlotte?April 7-9th! STEM Racing?is the World’s Largest STEM competition where K-12 students aged 9-19 years old form their own mock race teams. Students design 1/20th scale CO2-powered F1 racecars, along with marketing materials, engineering and enterprise portfolios, exhibition style "Pit Displays", and verbal presentations. ? Positions available: - Engineering Judging - Project Management Judging - Verbal Presentations - Track Staff and more! Volunteer one or multiple days! Please help us design a new banner for our 2025 activities! The new banner must comply with SAE International's branding standard, which is available at: https://lnkd.in/ePmbkKbT The design must fit a retractable banner that is 81 inches high and 47 inches wide. The timeline for submitting a banner is: Design Submittal: January 2 - 15, 2025 Design Selection: January 15 - 19, 2025 Winning Design Notification: January 20, 2025 The winning designer will receive a gift bag containing SAE merchandise and recognition in our SAE Carolina newsletter. Happy New Year from SAE Carolina!! SAE Carolina wrapped up 2024 with a behind the scenes tour of Timken's Lincolnton Bearing Plant. Ten SAE Carolina section members and guests were greeted by Timken's plant manager, given a 90 minute tour of the campus, and then wrapped up with a Q&A session with the entire Timken Lincolnton's leadership team. Timken's Lincolnton facility is >700,000 sq. ft. located on 275 beautiful acres, and produces bearing components, bearings, and wheel hubs for all sectors of the mobility industry.
