These salons are co-learning spaces for strengthening networks and relationships across silos in natural resource management.

This morning, I learned that I passed the New York State Bar Exam! I am so grateful for the opportunities and investment from Fordham University School of Law’s Stein Scholars Program in Public Interest Law & Ethics -Fordham Law. May we continue to invest in the next generation of public interest lawyers, to ensure that our profession is as diverse as our client base. It is a distinct honor to be the first lawyer in my family as the daughter of Indian immigrants and to dedicate my career to resolutely building power with my community.

Today, I held a press conference with community leaders on Shawn Still's racist and lie-filled attacks. We condemn this dangerous and hateful smear campaign that has led to death threats against me and my family. We call on Shawn Still to issue a public apology and retraction.

New research from Stop AAPI Hate and Moonshot shows that the use of anti-South Asian slurs, slogans, and phrases in monitored violent, extremist spaces doubled between January 2023 and August 2024, reaching its highest peak as South Asian political figures like Usha Vance and Vice President Kamala Harris rose to prominence.
