As National Sleep Awareness Week wraps up, let’s commit to staying mindful about healthy sleep habits—especially after the time change with Daylight Savings! Lack of sleep can significantly increase the risk of car crashes due to drowsy driving. One of our team members recently shared a blog about her personal experience with sleep deprivation and its impact on driving. Stories like hers are vital for raising awareness about how sleep affects road safety. Read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/gjmV5_FV #DrowsyDriving #NationalSleepAwarenessWeek #SADDNation

At SADD, we believe in the power of youth empowering youth. ?? That’s why equitable access to impactful messaging is critical—especially when it comes to traffic safety for students. This is a conversation that needs to stay front and center. ?? A big thank you to our Director of Field Engagement for delivering an insightful and engaging presentation at the Lifesavers Conference on Roadway Safety! Exciting things are happening here, and we’re proud to be part of the conversation.??? #Lifesavers2025 #Communications #YouthTrafficSafety #SADDNation

Next up for SADD Nation here at the Lifesavers Conference on Roadway Safety Conference is discussing increasing equitable access around communication messaging for youth in #trafficsafety with Lauren Zimmerman-Meade, MA. Unique and specific messaging requires local partnerships that engage and elevate youth voices. What would happen if we ask... ?? What works or you? ?? What do you want or need to hear? ?? What will make an impact? ?? What about #mentalhealth and driving? *FYI: Youth want to discuss and have access to mental health programming as it relates to driving!* www.sadd.org As mentioned multiple times in the session, shoutout to the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety who helped provide some funding for our traveling backpacks and so much more! These things are having an impact on equitable access to programming. Thanks to a #SADDNation leader, Louis Pratt, for moderating the session. #Lifesavers2025 #SADD #SADDNation #GOHS #youthvoices #prevention

When we hear "students," most people picture middle or high schoolers—but let’s not forget college students are part of the picture too! ?? Some of our team members work directly with college students (and are college students themselves!), giving them unique insights into effectively engaging this audience. A huge shoutout to our team for presenting at the Lifesavers Conference on Roadway Safety on Navigating College Outreach. ?? We’re excited to see what the rest of the conference has in store! #Lifesavers2025 #NavigatingCollegeOutreach #StudentSafety #Prevention #SADDNation

Last SADD Nation presentation for the day here at the Lifesavers Conference on Roadway Safety Conference. [Although not the last for the Conference.] "Navigating College Outreach..." ?? Peer-to-peer is evidenced-based, ?? Youth leadership can and should lead to youth mentorship, and ?? Programming, communications, and, yes, outreach activities requires adaptation to the demographic, including college students who are busy, multi-tasking, broke, and may be new to life on their own. Moderated by, as well as spoke on his experiences, Louis Pratt, and featuring some of our impactful staff leaders Eliza Fitzpatrick, Deanna Grossi, and Emma Mays. Shout out to University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Ithaca College, and Roanoke College who were highlighted as some amazing examples of collegiate #SADDNation. #Lifesavers2025 #college #studentactivities #youthdevelopment #prevention #TarHeels #UNC #IthacaCollege #RoanokeCollege

I recently had the privilege to sit down with Angela Marino to talk about leadership, storytelling, and the challenge of bringing a fully remote team together under one vision for the Leading Nonprofits newsletter. We covered a lot, including: ?? How executive voice evolves over time ?? Why listening is just as important as leading ?? The balance between transparency and inspiration If you're a #nonprofit leader navigating alignment, remote teams, or just the loneliness at the top, I think you’ll find this conversation insightful. Get the full interview when it drops this Sunday: https://lnkd.in/gSpddftb Shoutout to Angela, whom I have known for years and worked with some years ago. She is someone you not only should be connected to but an individual you should engage with around communications, marketing, constituent engagement, and storytelling.
