In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re spotlighting Alicia Gonzalez, Brenda Sizer, and Gerardo Ramirez who turned a shared vision into reality with Ohana Hawaiian Shaved Ice. With a focus on island-inspired treats, their business has become a staple at fairs across Northern California. ???? Starting out, the trio reached out to Sacramento Valley SBDC for guidance on business planning, legal structure, and permits. With personalized advice from business advisor Macy Yang, they launched their LLC, obtained the necessary licenses, and invested in their mobile food setup. Today, Ohana Hawaiian Shaved Ice is thriving, having successfully entered nine community fairs, including the 2024 California State Fair!
