Sacramento State is at the forefront of research on Long COVID, with faculty from our CSAD2B program investigating its impact on auditory processing and cognitive-communication functions. ???? Dr. Soumya Venkitakrishnan highlights, “Preliminary findings suggest that individuals experiencing ‘brain fog’ related to Long COVID are at high risk for auditory processing disorder.” Additionally, Dr. Elisabeth D’Angelo is examining cognitive-communication impairments and advocating for non-pharmacological interventions to support recovery.
