I recently learned about Catchafire, a platform that helps connect folks interested in volunteering with organizations that need their specific expertise. This week I tried it out for myself, and had a wonderful call with SACRD.org to brainstorm marketing and community outreach plans targeting demographics they want to expand their reach into. Not only did I get to use my skills in marketing, community outreach, and project planning, but I learned about an amazing organization in San Antonio and got to support their mission of keeping a freely accessible directory of human services available for folks in the area.
