With eight programs across six locations, we are Sacramento County's most comprehensive child and family service organization, focusing not only on treatment of child abuse and neglect, but also on prevention and early intervention. We make a significant difference in the lives of 5,500 children and 4,200 families every year, giving them hope for a better tomorrow.

We recently celebrated the grand opening of our South Sacramento Family Resource Center, where Meadowview and Valley Hi FRCs have co-located to serve families within these communities. It was a big day beginning with an open house in the morning for our board members and community partners of about 85 guests who received a guided tour from staff. It was an excellent way for everyone to have a chance to learn more about how these FRCs are supporting clients within the South Sacramento community. Thank you to everyone who came out to the event! Later that day, South Sacramento welcomed approximately 25 families from the local community. The event allowed them to explore the new space, enjoy food and beverages, and take photos. Families left with gift bags packed with essential items, including toiletries, school supplies, a fire safety planning guide, and a car seat safety guide. We extend our gratitude to the following partners for their generous donations in helping fill the gift bags: Health Education Council, CAPC, UC Davis Injury and Violence Prevention, Cosumnes Fire Department, On Track (Soul Space), Belle Darsie, Sacramento Public Library, Heartland, Greater Sacramento Urban League, and Liberty Dental. Congratulations, South Sac FRC, on your new space!
