Happy March! It's officially the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, which means your dollar stretches further--thanks to a $15,000 match from the Spring Lake Park Lions and an anonymous donor. With so much uncertainty at the federal level, SACA needs your donation now more than ever to help us move forward into the future. Donate today to make a BIG IMPACT in your community! https://lnkd.in/gY7b5PhS

Food Shelves and nonprofits around the state are facing the devastating effects of the federal spending freeze. SACA's federal grant that would also us to renovate our new building is currently in limbo. While 1 in 5 Minnesotans rely on food shelves and food prices continue to increase, nonprofits like ours are scrambling to meet the demand.

A couple of our staff members had the opportunity to attend the Do Good Events RAISE + ARRANGE conference last week. We gained SO many ideas for improving SACA’s annual events and learned about some incredible partners in the event industry. Thank you to Do Good Events and CRAVE Catering - Minneapolis for putting on an incredible event!

2024 was a record year for SACA Thrift Store. All proceeds from our volunteer-run thrift store go directly back into SACA's operations, allowing us to feed more neighbors as the demand continues to increase. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers and increased marketing efforts, the thrift store sales were 70% higher than 2022 (which was the last full year that we were open). Looking forward to seeing what happens in 2025!
