A Model for Data Accuracy in Healthcare Sabot’s subject matter expert (SME) on DHCS’ Interoperability Project recently reached an exciting milestone in the development of the Provider Directory API, a key component in advancing accurate, accessible healthcare data exchange across systems. In collaboration with the technical team, they successfully finalized the SQL queries used to classify provider records within the Provider Master File (MIS/DSS). This work is foundational to ensuring each record is correctly identified, a critical step in building a trustworthy Provider Directory. What makes this accomplishment especially notable is the level of precision achieved. Out of 229,914 total provider records, only 32 remained unclassified, a result that reflects not only technical skill but a shared commitment to quality and collaboration. "After multiple iterations and refinements, I’m thrilled to share that we achieved success," said Linda Davis, SME. “The results speak to the dedication and diligence that went into this effort. Our collaboration exemplifies the hands-on partnership that drives meaningful progress in complex data environments.” Kudos to Linda and the Technical team for their persistence and attention to detail.
